Role Overview
The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and support data‑driven decision‑making. This role will also involve developing and maintaining PowerBI reports and business related metrics to measure and improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection, Analysis and Transformation
- Knowledge of using joins, unions, and related data processing techniques
- Analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Perform statistical analysis and apply quantitative techniques to derive meaningful insights
- Understanding of ETL concepts (Extract, Transform, Load) and applying them efficiently in Power BI
- Creating Reports and Dashboards
- Develop and maintain business related metrics to monitor business performance and support strategic decision‑making
- Regularly track and report to assess and improve business performance
- Collaborate with Stakeholders for developing and providing detailed reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, or Excel to visualize data
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and KPI management
- Ensuring Data Accuracy and Integrity
- Perform regular data audits and validations to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Prepare and clean data to ensure its quality and reliability
- Visualization & UX: Building intuitive and visually effective dashboards using native visuals, custom visuals, bookmarks, tooltips, drill‑through/drill‑down interactions
- Knowledge of report usability, layout best practices, and storytelling principles
- Collaboration with Cross‑Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support
- Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge in Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and shaping, technical proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and report development
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating clear and informative visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
- Business Intelligence: Strong knowledge of interpretation of data and ability to explain data insights using statistical methods, quantitative analysis
- Experience analyzing and tracking key sales performance metrics
- 2 years of experience
- Advanced in both English and French
