About
The SAP Platform Team is a central area of the SAP Customer Center of Competence department and is responsible for the smooth and trouble-free operation of a hybrid SAP landscape (onPremise and SAP Cloud) for our customers throughout the city.
Responsibilities
- You develop cross-application technical solutions and concepts in the city-wide hybrid SAP system landscape (onPremise and SAP Cloud).
- You are responsible for the independent execution of maintenance activities, new installations, integrations, S/4HANA conversions, client and system copies.
- You participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of technical projects in the SAP Basis and SAP Cloud environment.
- You ensure stable and performant SAP operation (troubleshooting, performance, automation, monitoring, and alerting).
- You create and update the necessary technical documentation of the applications according to city specifications.
- You are responsible for the incident (2nd and 3rd level), change, release, and lifecycle management of the SAP platforms and coordinate this with the relevant specialist departments and SAP module consultants.
Profile
- University degree or further education with a technical and/or business administration focus, preferably in Business Informatics
- Several years of professional experience in SAP platforms such as S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP Solution Manager
- Experience in setup and operation of SAP systems (Linux and VMware) based on an SAP HANA database in the on-premise area and, if possible, sound knowledge in the SAP cloud environment (RISE with SAP, BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Identity Services)
- Ideally, advanced knowledge in monitoring with Avantra and SAP ALM
- Proven practical experience in 2nd and 3rd level support, project participation, and willingness for on-call duty 24/7 and weekend work
- Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as an independent and self-responsible way of working with high customer orientation
- Fluent German and good English skills
