SAP IS-U Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Business Analyst to support utilities domain projects across the Canada region. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and system integrators to analyze requirements, design solutions, and support implementation of SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) modules, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

• Collaborate with business stakeholders (Billing, Customer Service (CRM), Metering, Finance) to gather and document requirements
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and gap analysis sessions
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and SAP IS-U solutions

SAP IS-U Functional Expertise

• Understanding configuration and support SAP IS-U modules such as:
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Device Management (DM)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • FICA
• Understanding and support integrations with CRM systems (e.g., SAP CRM / Genesys)

Solution Design & Delivery

• Prepare functional design documents (FDDs), process flows, and use cases
• Work with technical teams for RICEFW object development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and defect tracking
• Support SIT, UAT cycles, and support defect resolution

Stakeholder Management

• Act as liaison between business users and technical teams
• Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues
• Ensure alignment with North American regulatory requirements (e.g., utilities compliance, billing regulations)

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

• Experience with S/4HANA Utilities or SAP S/4 IS-U transformation
• Exposure to SAP CRM, or third-party systems (e.g., Genesys)
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Canada utilities market, market transactions

Technical Skills

• SAP IS-U modules:
  • Billing, DM, FICA
  • CRM

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Strong documentation and presentation skills
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Solution Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility companies (Electric/Gas) such as ENMAX, PG&E, etc.
• Exposure to S/4HANA Utilities transformation programs
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Canada utilities market, market transactions

Note : Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
