SAP Engineer - Basis, Integration and Operations

About the Role

Mercedes-Benz is seeking a skilled and motivated SAP Engineer specializing in Basis, Integration, and Operations to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our SAP landscape, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and optimal operational performance. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with talented professionals to drive innovation and efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP Basis infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage and monitor SAP systems, including installations, upgrades, patching, and system copies.
• Develop and execute integration strategies for SAP and non-SAP systems, utilizing various middleware and API technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP Basis, integrations, and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement changes.
• Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Stay current with SAP technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, NetWeaver, and related components.
• Experience with SAP system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting SAP integrations (e.g., IDocs, RFC, Web Services, APIs).
• Experience with middleware solutions (e.g., SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) is a plus.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and database administration (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with SAP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
