SAP Project Manager

Role Summary

The SAP Project Manager is responsible for end to end delivery of SAP and Non-SAP programs and projects, ensuring successful implementation, rollout, upgrade, or transition of SAP solutions across multi module, multi geography, and multi vendor environments. The role requires strong leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and hands on project execution experience using Agile Methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

• Lead full SAP & Non-SAP projects lifecycle: assessment, blueprinting, design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare, and transition to AMS.
• Define and manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, and quality.
• Establish and run project governance, including RAID management and quality gates.
• Ensure adherence to Agile Methodology and customer specific delivery frameworks.
• Track financials, forecasts, and effort burn; manage change control.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the single point of contact for business and IT leadership for all projects.
• Build strong relationships with SAP and Non-SAP CoE leaders, program sponsors, and partners.
• Facilitate decision making and proactively manage escalations (P1/P2 issues).
• Deliver executive level status reports, steering committee updates, and governance reviews.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead cross functional SAP teams (Functional, Technical, Data, Integration, Testing, Security).
• Coordinate onshore, offshore, and nearshore delivery teams.
• Manage system integrators, SAP partners, and third party vendors.
• Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and performance management.

SAP Solution Oversight

• Oversee delivery across SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, GTS, HCM, Ariba, and integrations with non SAP systems.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, and go live readiness.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across SAP programs.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8-15+ years of SAP project/program management experience.
• Proven delivery of SAP implementations, rollouts, or transformations.
• Experience managing large, complex, global SAP landscapes.
• Strong exposure to AMS transitions and Run the Business models.

Skills

• Deep understanding of business processes with E2E focus.
• Strong knowledge of SAP functional and technical landscapes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen (budgeting, SOWs, change orders).
