SAP Solution Architect

About

Our Ottawa based client is seeking experienced SAP Solution Architects in Defence & Security, Finance (with GoC Experience), Logistics Supply Chain and Maintenance to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidates should have Canadian security clearance of at least Reliability level, with Secret preferred. This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable IT architectures for defence, finance, logistics, and maintenance sectors, ensuring compliance with Government of Canada (GoC) security policies and standards (e.g., PSPC, TBIPS, ITSG).
• Lead requirements gathering and solution blueprinting with stakeholders from multiple domains, translating operational needs into technical specifications and architecture designs.
• Ensure solutions meet mandatory security clearance protocols — at minimum Reliability status, with Secret clearance required for classified defence and finance systems.
• Integrate logistics/supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, warehouse management) with maintenance and defence platforms, ensuring data interoperability and real-time tracking.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits for proposed architectures, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies aligned with GoC’s IT security frameworks.
• Provide technical oversight during implementation, guiding development teams on architecture adherence, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including system design records, data flow diagrams, and security compliance matrices for GoC review.
