SDET / QA Automation Engineer Python, API Testing & Network Validation - 68187

About the Role

We have an urgent need for an SDET / QA Automation Engineer in Mount Laurel, NJ (Hybrid 4 days onsite/week) to support advanced automation and validation efforts across network and cable technology environments. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure high-quality delivery of complex systems and services.

Responsibilities

• Developing automation solutions, microservices, and test scripts to validate end-to-end system behavior.
• Building scalable automation frameworks using Python, JavaScript, and modern tools.
• Creating scripts to simulate network traffic and validate performance across endpoints.
• Designing comprehensive test strategies.
• Executing functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Validating APIs and microservices.
• Working on Proof of Concepts.
• Participating in client demos.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to enhance automation capabilities.
• Ensuring code quality.
• Integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
• Performing root cause analysis to improve product reliability.
• Maintaining documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong programming expertise in Python and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience in NodeJS and Golang.
• Solid understanding of API testing using REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
• Experience using tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks like Mocha.
• Familiarity with version control platforms such as GitHub.
• Strong knowledge of networking and cable domains, including IMS architecture and SIP protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
