Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for and develop the strategic architecture of the search platform on AWS
• You define benchmarks for performance, reliability, and observability (SLAs)
• You design indexing pipelines with Databricks and optimize schemas and query strategies
• You develop complex features and prototypes and ensure technical coherence across international domains
• You take over the monitoring, scaling, and cost optimization of the Elastic/OpenSearch clusters

Your Qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with sound professional experience
• Deep understanding of backend architectures, distributed systems, and development experience in Java or C#
• Extensive practical experience with Elastic or OpenSearch (schema design, scaling, operation)
• Sound AWS knowledge and experience with data pipelines (ideally with Spark or Databricks)
• Confident communication in German and English, as well as a desire to collaborate with international teams
