Qualifications

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable education with relevant professional experience.
• You have a deep understanding of backend architectures and distributed systems, as well as practical experience in development with Java and/or C#.
• You bring extensive practical experience with Elastic or OpenSearch, particularly in schema design, queries, scaling, and operations.
• You have sound knowledge of AWS and experience in building robust data pipelines, ideally with Spark or Databricks.
• You communicate confidently in German and English and work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the architecture of the Würth search platform on AWS and its strategic development.
• You define standards for performance, reliability, observability, and service level agreements.
• You design and optimize indexing and data pipelines with Databricks and develop schemas, mappings, and query strategies.
• You work hands-on on complex features, prototypes, and central architectural components.
• You ensure the scaling, monitoring, and cost optimization of Elastic or OpenSearch clusters, as well as technical coherence across international domains and applications.
