Pro-Act IT is looking for expansion! We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to work with our end clients. Your expertise is essential to strengthen our team and elevate our services to a higher level.

Who are we? Pro-Act IT is unique in its approach, with a personal touch and long-term relationships with its clients, freelancers, and suppliers at its core. We provide staffing and undertake large IT projects under our own management and are a knowledge provider. We supply IT professionals to our direct end clients, which we have won through European tenders, such as Universities of Applied Sciences, Universities, large hospitals, commercial organizations, and governments.

Job Description

As a Security Engineer, you are responsible for the specific security needs and objectives, and the regulatory requirements that the organization must meet. The main goal is to protect IT systems and data against various threats, both project-based and in the implementation of information security issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architecture: You design, implement, and manage security solutions and architectures;
• Vulnerability Management: Identify and manage vulnerabilities in systems and networks;
• Security Operations: Monitor and analyze security events and incidents;
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Manage and control access to systems and data;
• Security Awareness: Develop and implement awareness programs;
• Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies;
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teams and communicate about security issues;
• Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work/thinking level;
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in a security environment;
• Knowledge of security standards such as NEN7510, BIO, and ISO27001;
• Knowledge of security threats and techniques;
• Experience with ITIL processes;
• Eager to learn and keep knowledge up-to-date;
• Familiar with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS;
• Technical knowledge of network, infrastructure, and application security.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent employment. We are looking for someone who wants to work full-time on a secondment basis via Pro-Act IT.
