Security & Infrastructure Engineer (DevSecOps)
BRINK Group
About the role
About
We are currently seeking a Security & Infrastructure Engineer (DevSecOps) to join our Client's team in Munich.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants broad ownership across infrastructure security, product security, monitoring, and operational systems. The successful candidate will begin in an associate-level role with significant responsibility and a clearly defined growth path into a senior security position within the next two to three years. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on implementation, automation, and operational excellence rather than consulting or compliance-focused work. The environment is strongly AI-native, with autonomous agents, AI-assisted development tools, and workflow automation deeply integrated into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Security
- Manage firewall configurations, VPN infrastructure, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and network segmentation
- Perform Linux hardening and secure administrative system configuration
- Maintain and continuously improve infrastructure security controls
Product Security
- Implement and manage RBAC frameworks and user access controls
- Design secure token-management and agent security architectures
- Develop mitigation strategies against prompt injection and AI-related attack vectors
Monitoring & Observability
- Build and maintain dashboards, monitoring systems, and alerting infrastructure
- Support observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or equivalent solutions
- Contribute to incident detection and operational response processes
Security Testing & Operations
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and basic penetration testing
- Develop automated security testing workflows and tooling
- Support operations of on-premise GPU clusters and production infrastructure
AI-Native Engineering
- Work with autonomous agents, MCP servers, and custom automation frameworks
- Apply AI-assisted workflows to operate security systems efficiently within a lean engineering environment
Your Profile
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Linux command-line skills with solid Docker and networking fundamentals
- Good understanding of IAM concepts including OAuth, RBAC, and token management
- Experience with security testing tools and modern observability stacks
- Practical engineering mindset with scripting and automation capabilities
- Familiarity with AI-native workflows and autonomous tooling
- Interest in working across the full technology stack, from infrastructure through to product security
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Based in Munich or open to relocation
Preferred Qualifications
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or similar
- Previous experience in production security environments
- Experience with bug bounty programs, CTFs, or offensive security practices
- Open-source contributions related to security or DevOps tooling
- Exposure to Kubernetes security tooling such as Falco, OPA, or network policies
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Broad ownership across infrastructure, product, hardware, and monitoring security
- Direct collaboration with a founder experienced in regulated safety engineering domains including ISO 26262, SOTIF, STPA, ASME, and machinery safety frameworks applied to AI systems
- Exposure to real-world enterprise infrastructure and on-premise GPU cluster operations
- Significant scope for personal growth and technical development
- Opportunity to work in a highly autonomous, AI-native engineering environment with modern automation workflows at its core
