Senior Security Specialist

About

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Specialist to join a global financial technology environment focused on enterprise trading and collateral management platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the security aspects of a modern cloud-native trading and collateral platform, ensuring secure integrations, resolving vulnerabilities, and supporting the evolution of enterprise-scale financial systems.

You will work closely with development teams, product management, and central security teams in an agile and highly collaborative international environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve security findings across multiple versions of the platform
• Analyze vulnerabilities identified by automated scanning tools, penetration testing, and dependency reviews
• Work closely with central security teams to validate and document false positives
• Upgrade and maintain Java and TypeScript/JavaScript dependencies and open-source libraries
• Resolve security issues related to unsupported or outdated frameworks and libraries
• Ensure that security-related changes do not impact existing platform functionality
• Contribute to the development of modern cloud-native financial solutions and secure API integrations
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams within an agile setup
• Support continuous improvement of security standards, development practices, and platform stability

Profile

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on professional experience in Java enterprise environments
• Strong experience building enterprise-grade financial or banking solutions
• Proven experience investigating and resolving application security findings and vulnerabilities
• Strong hands-on expertise with Java SE/JEE and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture concepts
• Experience with Spring Framework, JMS, and JPA/Hibernate
• Good understanding of frontend technologies including Angular (v2+), Observables, and Redux
• Experience integrating Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Experience working with third-party open-source dependencies and frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD)
• Strong communication skills and experience working within international distributed teams
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and team-focused mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Camel
• Understanding of Jenkins, Harness IO, or Apache Kafka
• Experience working within cloud-native or API-driven architectures
