Security Operations Engineer

Security Operations Engineer is expected to support our operations. The role is responsible for monitoring,detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across payment systems, financial applications, andIT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong SOC experience within regulated environments, particularly supporting PCI DSS,ISO 27001, and financial data protection requirements.

Security Monitoring & Incident Response • Monitor and analyse security alerts from SIEM, EDR, firewalls, Network devices and payment systems. • Investigate suspicious activities affecting financial transactions, APIs, and customer platforms. • Perform log correlation across applications, databases and security infrastructure. • Lead and coordinate incident response activities in line with regulatory requirements. • Maintain detailed forensic evidence and incident documentation for audit purposes. • Develop and update incident response playbooks specific to data breaches.

Payment & Application Security • Secure APIs, payment gateways, and transaction processing channels. • Review and analyse logs from payment & transaction processing platforms. • Support secure configuration of perimeter security controls. • Collaborate with Application development & DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines

(DevSecOps).

Vulnerability & Threat Management • Conduct vulnerability assessments across network, applications, and IT Infrastructure. • Coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure and development teams. • Perform proactive threat hunting aligned with financial sector threat intelligence. • Analyse emerging threats targeting financial institutions and fintech platforms.

Compliance & Regulatory Support • Ensure adherence to:

o PCI DSS o ISO 27001

o ISO 22301

o Central Bank / Financial Authority regulations • Support internal and external audits. • Maintain audit logs, security documentation, and evidence repositories. • Participate in risk assessments and third-party security reviews.

Pay: ₦400,000.00 - ₦700,000.00 per month
