SecOps Engineer

Overview

We are adding a SecOps Engineer to our team to strengthen cloud security across AWS and GCP environments. The role involves implementing security best practices, maintaining security tooling, monitoring cloud infrastructure, and supporting internal teams and clients with secure and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities • Support secure cloud architecture design and requirement gathering. • Implement and maintain security controls across AWS and GCP environments. • Manage ticket triage, incident response, and customer service requests. • Maintain and enhance SIEM platforms and security monitoring capabilities. • Deploy, configure, and update security tools across multiple environments. • Perform threat hunting, vulnerability management, and log analysis. • Review compliance reports and ensure adherence to security standards. • Document security processes and maintain knowledge base articles. • Support customer onboarding and transition activities. • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal platform development.

Technical Skills & Competencies

Cloud Security (AWS & GCP)

Strong working knowledge of: • AWS: IAM, S3 security, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC, KMS, Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Trusted Advisor, SSM, DNS, Control Tower, SCP, SSO, EKS (high‑level) • GCP: IAM, Cloud Logging & Monitoring, VPC, Cloud KMS, Security Command Center, Policy & Organization controls

Security & Infrastructure • SIEM management • Vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Nessus, etc.) • Security platforms like Cloudflare • Terraform (IaC), AWS CLI, gcloud CLI • CI/CD and DevOps practices

Technical Foundations • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) • Log analysis and troubleshooting • Python or Bash scripting • Cloud security best practices & Shared Responsibility Model • Multi-region and multi-tenant architecture concepts

Preferred Experience • 2+ years in SecOps or cloud security • Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar • AWS or GCP certifications (Security Specialty, Architect Associate, etc.) • Exposure to software development and SDLC processes
