Security Testing Engineer (m/w/d) - J37700

Overview

You will work hands-on with security audits, thereby strengthening the IT resilience of various organizations. You will identify real vulnerabilities, document them clearly, and contribute directly to securing digital projects. In your work, you will use security testing frameworks, such as OWASP methodologies and testing tools similar to Burp or Metasploit, combined with analyses of Linux and Windows systems and network components. Your Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct penetration tests and web security checks using common test methods.
• Analyze systems and networks, including assessing attack vectors and probability of occurrence.
• Create clear findings, risk assessments, and technical reports, and present the results.
• Advise project stakeholders and decision-makers on increasing the security level.
• Contribute to internal improvement initiatives and the implementation of technical-organizational measures.
• Work with security tools and platforms such as OWASP methodologies, Burp-like tools, Metasploit, and Linux/Windows environments.

Your Profile

• Completed IT training or comparable studies with initial experience in IT security.
• Practical knowledge in software development and administration of system landscapes.
• Familiarity with typical attack vectors like SQL injection, XSS, or similar scenarios.
• Solid foundation in network and infrastructure technologies, and experience with Linux and Windows.
• Good communication skills in German and English, and a service-oriented demeanor.
• Independent work style and interest in continuous professional development.
