Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The global Marketing Team of the Laboratory Division (LAB) is in charge of planning, creating and executing worldwide marketing activities in cooperation with our business units and sales organizations. In order to strengthen our Laboratory Division marketing team, we are looking for a business oriented, pro‑active and dynamic Segment Marketing Manager 100% (all genders)

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • You will work with teams across the LAB Division to provide industry expertise for marketing strategy, planning, campaigns as well as material creation
  • You will be our segment expert to our customers in quality control and R&D laboratories for the Food and Beverage and Testing Laboratories segments
  • Further you will support lab projects for strategic growth segments
  • You will research and write value and campaign content on segment specific topics and work closely with internal and external research sources to ensure that accurate market and market segment profiles are maintained
  • You will lead and support different sales related projects in close collaboration with the Strategic Business units (SBUs) and the Group
  • You will conduct continuous market monitoring and impact analysis of needs, trends, compliance, and other key influencers; proactively recommends corrective action when appropriate
  • You will provide insights and expertise for the creation of marketing and sales materials and ensure it is in line with the customer language
  • Last but not least you will lead LAB marketing trainings to educate the LAB Division on segment topics using both our online training portal and online/face to face training

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of food technology or similar
  • You have a strong interest and knowledge in marketing topics combined with several years experience in a B2B marketing in an international matrix organization
  • You are able to understand and express complex concepts in simple words and visuals; you possess a high degree of motivation, quick comprehension and initiative in project work; ability to support projects and tasks of high strategic importance on time and under pressure
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken (min. C1). German and other languages desirable
