Designer or Senior Designer

A leading Accessory brand is seeking a Designer or Senior Designer to join their team in New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for designing, merchandising and preparing merchandising strategies for accessories including end cap grab and go product, cold weather, Headwear, and stationary. There is also tremendous growth potential.

Job Description

• Create and design soft accessories, headwear, seasonal and gifting including and Cold Weather
• Prepare merchandise strategies and layouts or mock-ups of a design using illustration, text, photography, color, and computer-generated imagery
• Strong illustration and graphic design skills to create prints and art work
• Merchandise product assortments with Design and upper management
• Work with Product Development team making sure designs are accurate for sample development
• Communicate with buyers about color assortment and design
• Submit all designs for license approval
• Review all technical sketches and original artworks prior to submitting for final production
• Prepare Artwork for Production
• Execute vision on CAD presentations

Skills

• Formal education in Design
• Graphic Design experience is a plus
• 5 plus years experience designs women’s and Children’s accessories
• Working with licensed brands is a plus
• MAC/PC proficiency with illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
• Strong presentation skills
