About

As a Senior Account Manager Public, you will be responsible for the support and further development of our major public sector clients in the Bern region. You will build long-term relationships at the decision-maker level, manage tenders and contracts, and develop tailor-made software and IT solutions together with our specialists.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the strategic support and further development of selected major public sector clients in the Bern region, focusing on software licenses and IT services.
  • As the central point of contact, you will manage the entire customer relationship, from needs assessment through offer and contract design to long-term customer loyalty.
  • You will build and systematically develop sustainable, trusting customer relationships.
  • You will conduct negotiations on framework software and managed services contracts and support complex tenders.
  • You will identify and realize cross-selling and up-selling potentials together with specialists and internal sales support.
  • During the sales process, you will be responsible for coordinating internal specialist teams, leading cross-departmental coordination, organizing relevant meetings, and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and work together on the project.
  • You will keep an eye on market and customer developments and derive targeted sales activities from them.

Skills & Abilities

  • Several years of professional experience in key account management of major clients, with experience in public tenders.
  • Very good understanding of the public sector or high motivation to position yourself long-term in this environment.
  • Experience in selling software licenses and IT services; Microsoft licensing knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a high standard of service and customer orientation.
  • High social and methodological competence, combined with a structured and self-reliant way of working.
  • Negotiating proficiency in German (incl. Swiss German) and English, as well as willingness to travel within the region; French and/or Italian skills are a plus.
