Senior Accountant

Job Description

One of the fastest-growing FMCG brands in Nigeria, who deliver quality food products to thousands of households,is looking to expand and hire a skilled Accountant to join the finance team.

The candidate must have 4 to 5 years of experience,in which 2 to 3 years is in the manufacturing industry,Experience working in an FMCG industry will be added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

• Pass the production entry and reconcile the stocks on daily basis

• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.

• Performing general ledger accounting process; including ensuring timing and accurate recoding of transactions for sales, Purchases, receipts and payment and ensuring accounts reconciliations

• Managing Inventory of Raw Material, Work in Progress, and Finished goods across multiple warehouse and store locations

• Managing accounts receivable and payables for customers and suppliers

• Support month end, quarterly and year end management account and financial reporting and ensuring compliance with IFRS and other applicable regulations

• Ensuring regular bank statement reconciliation and petty cash management

• Ability to work with accounting software like Tally Prime or Tally ERP

• Managing fixed asset register

• Provide support in developing and implementing annual budget, financial forecast and planning processes

Requirements Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing (Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in manufacturing industry) .

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
