About the role

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage and perform month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–7+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (or relevant accounting standards)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
