General Ledger (GL) Accountant

We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organization to identify a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join their finance team in Easton, MD. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys owning the integrity of financial data and reporting.

This position will work closely with leadership and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger activity, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Partner cross-functionally to gather and interpret financial data
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
• Assist with audits and respond to internal/external financial inquiries
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of general ledger or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication skills
