As a Finance Controller / Manager, your role will involve working closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to handle activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close tasks, financial reporting, and auditing for a rapidly growing client in the field of School Education in the USA. You will be responsible for processing daily AP, AR, and bank transactions, assisting in operational activities, reconciliation, and ad hoc reports, as well as participating in audit closure for schools.
Key Responsibilities: - Handling accounting for 5-6 schools - Processing AP, AR, and bank transactions daily - Assisting in operational activities - Performing reconciliations and preparing ad hoc reports - Supporting month-end close activities including bank reconciliation, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, etc. - Assisting in audit closure for schools
Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA, CMA is an added advantage) - 3-6 years of progressive experience - Experience in bookkeeping and accounting for educational institutional clients in the USA - Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Blackbaud, etc. - Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements - Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills - Experience working with educational institution clients in the USA is preferred
