Join our Raymond Team as a Senior Accountant - Corporate Finance!

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. The ideal candidate possesses deep accounting expertise and a strong collaborative mindset to drive cross‑functional alignment. They are adept at translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision‑making across executive and operational teams. In this role, you will prepare financial reports and conduct audits and reconciliations, playing a key support role in monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial reporting—including audit preparation and complex, high‑impact projects. This position requires a high level of financial acumen, business partnership, and the ability to influence outcomes through data‑driven communication. Responsibilities

  • Follow general accounting practices and procedures in preparing standard and non‑standard journal entries for income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements, and other financial reports.
  • Research unusual entries and discrepancies, analyze results, and provide recommendations.
  • Exchange information and resolve issues with outside organizations and auditors as directed.
  • Provide accounting advice and guidance to internal teams and junior personnel.
  • Maintain and evaluate current accounting controls, recommending improvements and developing policies and procedures as needed.
  • Organize and update financial records with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in resolving sensitive issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 4+ years of multifaceted accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Business and Accounting principles and practices is essential, including familiarity with US GAAP, SOX, IAS, and IFRS.
  • Public accounting experience (audit).

Work Location & Schedule

  • Following the successful completion of the training period—and subject to business needs—you may become eligible for a hybrid schedule that allows for both in‑person collaboration at either our Greene or Syracuse, New York offices and remote flexibility.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,440 – $94,670 per year (depends on education and experience)

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
