About the role
About
Our client-an aggressively scaling, PE-backed professional services organization-is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its rapidly evolving finance function.
This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-growth, high-change, start-up like environment and wants to help build accounting infrastructure from the ground up.
The company is in a period of heavy acquisition activity, integrating multiple entities annually, and building its first fully mature back-office function.
This role is critical to that effort.
If you're someone who excels in ambiguity, enjoys process creation, and wants meaningful ownership over month-end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness, this is a fantastic next step.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly close responsibilities across multiple entities.
- Prepare journal entries, prepaids, accruals, and fixed asset activity.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and maintain GL accuracy.
- Support external audit preparation and work directly with a Big 4 partner.
- Track and monitor compliance-related documentation.
- Assist in building a standardized financial reporting package.
- Support accounting integration for newly acquired entities.
- Work on opening balance sheets, working capital adjustments, and onboarding into internal workflows.
- Help shape scalable processes as the organization continues to acquire and consolidate businesses.
- Support system integrations and process improvement initiatives.
- Help design new accounting workflows as the finance function matures.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounting Experience.
- Start-up experience or demonstrated success in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Audit experience (public accounting or internal audit exposure).
- Experience building or improving accounting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Strong GAAP knowledge.
- Experience with month-end close across multiple entities.
- CPA (active or in progress).
- Systems integration exposure.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000-$100,000
- Bonus: 10% annual performance bonus.
- Merit Cycles: Mid-year and end-of-year review process.
- Benefits: Full package + PTO/holidays (details shared during interview process).
- Work Model: Fully remote.
