Role Overview

This senior-level accounting role blends traditional financial management with strategic partnership support. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing key financial activities, supporting high-value relationships, and contributing to long-term planning across multiple business areas.

You will work closely with leadership, external partners, and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review financial statements, forecasts, and performance reports
  • Support budgeting processes and monitor financial performance across projects
  • Develop financial models and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Account & Stakeholder Support

  • Manage financial aspects of key relationships, including investors, partners, and institutional clients
  • Assist in structuring agreements, proposals, and funding arrangements
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and long-term partnerships

Planning & Analysis

  • Contribute to financial planning initiatives tied to operational growth and expansion
  • Assist with capital planning and funding strategies across multiple projects
  • Track and evaluate financial outcomes against strategic objectives

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits, documentation, and internal controls
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity across financial systems and records

Collaboration & Business Support

  • Work cross-functionally with operations, project teams, and leadership
  • Provide financial input on new initiatives, partnerships, and opportunities
  • Assist with process improvements and system optimization

Qualifications Required

  • 8–10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles
  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or working with external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred

  • Experience in industries such as marine operations, infrastructure, tourism, or project‑based environments
  • Exposure to investment structures, partnerships, or multi‑entity organizations
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and integrated financial platforms
  • Interest in environmental initiatives, exploration, or ocean‑related sectors

Work Structure

  • Hybrid model combining remote work with periodic in‑person collaboration
  • Based in Newfoundland & Labrador, with occasional travel as required
