Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization and Advanced Analytics, is responsible for analyzing data and developing models to improve inventory planning across Grainger's network of over 500 DCs and branches in North America. You will work on analytics-based projects that inform decisions about where, when, and how much inventory to place to maintain high service levels.
Required Skills and Experience
- Graduate degree (MS or equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience using analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Fluency in Japanese.
- Knowledge of supply chain, forecasting, and optimization techniques preferred.
- Experience articulating ambiguous business questions and applying quantitative modeling techniques to develop solutions.
- Ability to process, filter, validate, and present large datasets (millions to billions of rows).
Compensation and Benefits
- Anticipated base pay range: $85,300 - $142,200.
