We are Coduct Solutions GmbH, a tech consulting company with locations in Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin). Together with our subsidiary in Vietnam, our group develops tailor-made software and AI solutions.

Project Context

Do you want to build something new in AI and not just maintain existing systems? With us, you will take on a central role in an AI research project funded by the state of NRW – at the interface between research, prototyping, and real applications in administration and healthcare. Together with a university in NRW and other project partners, we are developing AI-supported assistance systems for small and medium-sized enterprises. The position is planned for 3 years as part of a research project, with the goal of long-term employment at Coduct afterwards.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership in Research Project

• You will take over the technical leadership for our project area and drive our work package forward.
• You will write concepts, make architectural decisions, and be responsible for the implementation of components.
• You will decide which approaches realistically work – and find solutions when they don't.

Requirements Analysis & Real Use Cases

• You will talk to subject matter experts and partners to understand where AI can really help.
• You will structure requirements and translate complex processes into functioning technical solutions for specific problems (e.g., information preparation or communication between organizations).

Prototyping & Iterative Development

• You will develop functional prototypes (e.g., LLM systems, chatbots, assistance solutions).
• You will regularly test these with project partners in realistic scenarios.
• You will consider topics such as data protection, data security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., in the public sector).

Collaboration in Research Environment

• You will work closely with a university, project partners, and interdisciplinary teams.
• You will participate in workshops, tests, and exchange formats and actively contribute your perspective.

Documentation & Structuring

• You will document architectural decisions, findings, and results so that others can build upon them.
• You will ensure that results are not just "in your head" but become usable.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Several years of experience in software development in the field of AI / Machine Learning / LLMs.
• Master's degree or comparable qualification in a technical field.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex systems.

• You can explain technical contexts understandably.
• You work confidently with various stakeholders (research, partners, subject areas).

Travel

• Occasional business trips within NRW and the DACH region.

Other Information

• Ideally, you can come to our office in Kamp-Lintfort 2 times a week without any problems.
• Work model: Hybrid (2 days office & 3 days mobile work), also possible on-site throughout; by individual agreement and depending on the phase of work within the company.
• Working hours: 40h, weekdays.
• Start date: June 2026.
• Contract type: permanent.
