Senior AI Engineer

Requirements

Senior skilled AI engineers with specialised, fit-for-purpose skillsets. These individuals should be adept at working in an AI-first manner to tackle complex problems and execute greenfield projects, leveraging AI to enhance and expedite our processes.

While maintaining expertise in traditional C# backend development, these engineers must be proficient in AI technologies. Specifically, they need to be well-versed in working with MCPs, possess full competency in agentic AI, prompt engineering, and crafting AI instruction files for custom agents. Moreover, they should be capable of utilising these skills in IDEs such as Copilot in Visual Studio and Claude Code. Demonstrable working knowledge of these tools is essential.

Must have tech skills:

C# backend development (senior / very strong) • Designing and building scalable backend systems • Greenfield development experience • Around 6+ years of experience

AI-first engineering mindset • Hands-on experience building and using agentic AI • Ability to design and work with AI agents to solve real problems

Prompt engineering • Writing clear, structured, and effective prompts • Optimising prompts for accuracy and consistency

MCPs / context management • Working knowledge of MCPs (or equivalent concepts) • Structuring and managing model context effectively

AI instruction files / agent configuration • Creating and maintaining instruction files for custom AI agents

AI-assisted development in IDEs • Proven experience using Copilot in Visual Studio • Proven experience using Claude Code (or similar AI coding tools)

Nice to have tech skills: • Multi-agent systems or workflow orchestration • Experience with multiple LLM providers • Cloud experience (especially Azure) • CI/CD and production deployment of AI-enabled systems • Testing, monitoring, or evaluating AI-driven workflows
