Our client is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced statistical, artificial intelligence, and machine learning solutions to address complex business challenges.

The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, build and deploy cloud-based AI applications, and support end-to-end delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions within an Agile delivery environment.

Product / Team Context

The role operates within a data science and engineering environment focused on delivering AI-driven solutions that integrate with business systems. The team works closely with business, engineering, and delivery teams to define scope, design data pipelines, and deploy AI solutions that meet quality, performance, and security standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Proven experience building and deploying statistical, AI, and machine learning models
• Experience working within multi-national organisations
• Strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to move solutions from ideation to implementation

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Strong data engineering skills, including Python coding and data ingestion (ETL, Kafka, Apache Spark)
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, GAIA)
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and managing scope for technical deliverables
• Frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular or React)
• Unit testing frameworks (Jest, pytest)
• AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS
• Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD
• Understanding of UI/UX principles
• RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Adaptability to perform additional tasks under the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear explanations and updates on project progress.
• Present findings and proposals to stakeholders, showcasing strong presentation skills.
• Uphold high ethical standards in all work-related activities and interactions.
• Be willing and able to travel internationally as required for project needs.

Advantageous Skills

• Familiarity with LLM-based applications and their business use cases
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools and techniques
• Previous experience in a similar role within a global organisation

Key Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into actionable technical tasks
• Define project scope and align business and technical teams
• Design data pipelines and propose AI solutions
• Support development cycles and solution delivery
• Facilitate collaboration between business, engineering teams, and EDE teams
• Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient software and custom solutions
• Build, deploy, and scale cloud applications using AWS, with a focus on performance and security
• Document system designs, APIs, and key technical details
• Resolve operational issues and support onboarding of new use cases
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project goals
• Take ownership and deliver impactful, meaningful solutions
