adiutaByte is a young Fraunhofer spin-off from Sankt Augustin and has developed a novel tour planning solution for various industries. It is currently used by outpatient care services, for municipal bulky waste planning, and by some retail fleets. We offer our planning solution as Software-as-a-Service as a complete product including front-end and driver app, or only as an optimization back-end via our REST interface. And this is exactly why we need your support.

Your Day-to-Day

• Development, integration, and operation of production-ready AI modules for our software products
• Working with modern language and AI models, especially: Large Language Models (LLMs), speech processing (e.g., transcription, semantic analysis, speech interfaces), and embedding and retrieval approaches (e.g., RAG)
• Application of classic machine learning and deep learning concepts as the basis for modern systems
• Development of robust inference, evaluation, and optimization logic for AI models in production operation
• Close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to seamlessly integrate AI into real applications
• Building, further developing, and maintaining scalable AI and ML pipelines (training, evaluation, deployment)
• Ensuring quality, performance, stability, and cost control of AI components in production use
• Continuous improvement of existing AI modules based on usage, quality, and performance metrics
• Active shaping of a technical environment with high personal responsibility, flat hierarchies, and direct product impact

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience as an AI Engineer / ML Engineer or in a comparable, product-oriented role
• Very good knowledge of Python and experience in processing structured and unstructured data
• Solid foundation in machine learning and deep learning fundamentals (training, optimization, modern architectures)
• Practical experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Demonstrable experience in engineering and operating productive AI systems
• MLOps fundamentals, especially deployment, testing, CI/CD, and ongoing monitoring
• Experience with container technologies (Docker)
• Interest in scalable, performant systems (e.g., Rust is a plus)
• Analytical, structured thinking and the ambition to reliably bring AI into the product
