Your Role

As an (Senior) AI Engineer, you will become part of our internal AI Team and work on the development, secure operation, and continuous improvement of our AI solutions. Our team covers various perspectives around modern AI systems – from the development of intelligent applications to platform and infrastructure topics, to data science and AI security.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of AI, software engineering, data, and IT security. Depending on your profile and interests, you can set different focuses – for example, in the development of AI applications, in building platforms and infrastructure, in data-driven models, or in securing AI systems.

What You Can Expect

• You develop and integrate AI-supported applications and services for various internal use cases.
• You work with modern AI technologies such as Large Language Models and evaluate new approaches for practical application scenarios.
• You transition prototypes of AI-based systems into production-ready solutions.
• You work with data, develop models, or analyze data to enable new insights and functionalities.
• You develop or operate platform components that facilitate the development and operation of AI applications.
• You support the secure and responsible design of our AI systems, e.g., in handling data or potential risks of modern AI technologies.
• You work closely with colleagues from Engineering, Platform, Security, and Data Science.
• You follow new developments in the AI ecosystem and integrate them meaningfully into our solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in software development or software engineering (e.g., with Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies).
• Interest or experience with AI technologies, e.g., Machine Learning, Large Language Models, or AI-based applications.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Development of AI or data-driven applications, Data Science or Machine Learning, Platform, Cloud or Infrastructure Development, IT Security or Security Engineering.
• Understanding of modern software architectures and cloud-based systems.
• Interest in pragmatically transferring new technologies into real applications.
• Structured way of working, initiative, and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams.
