Role
Job Title: Senior AI Engineer (m/f/d) Department: Data & AI Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Duration: Permanent Working Hours: Full-time (40h/week)
Responsibilities
- Design, development, and optimization of AI products, including those based on sophisticated RAG architectures in the medical field.
- Building and continuously developing AI pipelines from the prototyping phase to production deployment using modern frameworks like MLflow in the cloud.
- Evaluation and performance monitoring of RAG-based chat applications in a production environment.
- Close collaboration within a cross-functional team (Data Science, Dev Ops, Product Management) to ensure stability and scalability.
- Support in SME Management (Subject Matter Expert) – coordination with subject matter experts to fine-tune knowledge models.
- Initial experience with orchestrating agentic systems, e.g., MCP.
Requirements
- Several years of practical experience as an AI Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a comparable position.
- In-depth knowledge of LLM integration and RAG system design, particularly retrieval.
- Proficient in Python and AI frameworks such as PyTorch, Lang Chain/Lang Graph, or similar.
- Experience in the production deployment and scaling of AI systems in cloud environments, ideally Databricks.
