Job Overview
We seek a dynamic and experienced product leader to steer cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders in creating AI-powered solutions that address significant enterprise challenges. This role involves moving swiftly from in-depth understanding of business hurdles to prototyping meaningful AI solutions and demonstrating their value. You will take charge of a complex product area within our applied AI portfolio, defining success, developing with the team, and driving transformative results across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a complex product area within our applied AI portfolio, define success metrics, prioritize challenges, and develop effective AI strategies while adapting to evolving insights.
- Collaborate closely with business units to gain deep insights into their operations, capture requirements, map processes, and pinpoint significant AI-driven improvement opportunities.
- Convert business objectives and user needs into well-defined AI use cases, guiding them from concept through prototyping to validation.
- Manage the backlog by writing epics, features, and stories while prioritizing work effectively.
- Create detailed program plans, establish milestones, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead the rapid prototyping of AI solutions, including GenAI applications, AI agents, and intelligent automation, demonstrating feasibility and business impact.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and data scientists to establish product vision, develop roadmaps, and achieve set goals while enhancing team effectiveness.
- Conduct user research, business process analysis, and market assessments to inform product decisions and influence the broader product organization.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to benchmark and compare AI models and platforms against enterprise success criteria.
- Proactively identify opportunities and resolve dependencies through creating shared strategies across adjacent product areas.
- Create reusable product frameworks, playbooks, and best practices that expedite AI solution delivery organization‑wide.
- Influence strategy and drive progress across partner functions, enhancing collaboration and aligning divergent goals.
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and business value clearly to all stakeholders.
- Foster the growth of PMs and team members by providing mentorship, coaching, and hands‑on support.
Your Qualifications Matter
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in product design, service design, program management, or product management roles.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional product teams across a complete product line, including crafting product missions, defining requirements, coordinating resources, and driving teams toward key milestones.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes, and identify high‑impact AI‑driven opportunities.
- Hands‑on experience in prototyping or building AI‑powered solutions.
- Exposure to AI/ML products and platforms in enterprise settings, including GenAI applications and intelligent automation.
- Proven ability to enhance product performance and improve team effectiveness.
- Experience managing products throughout their entire lifecycle, from discovery to deployment support.
Product & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of large‑scale, complex data set analysis for effective decision‑making.
- Experience integrating diverse requirements from a variety of users and business contexts into a coherent product strategy.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their implications for enterprise‑level product design.
- Familiarity with GenAI platforms, prompt engineering, AI agent frameworks, and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Knowledge of AI solution architectures to evaluate feasibility and guide implementation.
- Ability to develop evaluation frameworks for assessing AI model and platform performance.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools to articulate product vision and steer design.

Additional Information
- This position follows a hybrid work model and must be performed at one of our designated IT hub locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; New York City; or Washington, D.C.
- To facilitate effective work for home or hybrid employees, internet service must meet the minimum criteria of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds; wired cable or DSL connections are preferred.
- Employees working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi‑weekly internet expense reimbursement.
- Humana provides the necessary phone equipment to meet your job requirements.
- Work should be conducted in a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect patient health information in compliance with HIPAA.

Work Schedule

Compensation
- The salary range for this position reflects a good faith estimate for full‑time employment and may vary based on location and individual experience, skills, education, and certifications.
- $151,600 – $208,400 per year.
- This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
