About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Research Engineer to focus on emerging technologies within the AI and Machine Learning domain. This is a full‑time contract position offering remote work flexibility. You will be at the forefront of innovation, exploring, prototyping, and developing next‑generation AI solutions that could revolutionize industries. The ideal candidate possesses a strong theoretical foundation in AI/ML combined with practical experience in implementing and testing novel algorithms and architectures. You will collaborate with a team of researchers and engineers on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate cutting‑edge AI techniques and emerging technologies.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept applications and prototypes for novel AI solutions.
• Implement and optimize machine learning models using modern frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and iterate on model designs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI components into larger systems.
• Document research findings, methodologies, and code.
• Stay abreast of the latest academic research and industry trends in AI.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the R&D roadmap for emerging AI technologies.
• Present technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ensure the scalability and performance of developed AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML research and development, with a focus on emerging areas.
• Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with AI/ML libraries.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
