Our client, a leading airline operator, is seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in Structures to join their dedicated maintenance team based in Kadada, Kaduna, NG. This critical role involves ensuring the airworthiness and structural integrity of our aircraft fleet through meticulous inspection, repair, and maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise detailed inspections of aircraft structures to identify damage, defects, or wear.
  • Execute complex structural repairs, modifications, and component replacements on various aircraft types.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot structural issues using technical documentation and diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with manufacturer's specifications and aviation regulations (e.g., NCAA, EASA, FAA).
  • Interpret and utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all maintenance activities performed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of aircraft maintenance technicians and engineers.
  • Coordinate with planning, production, and quality assurance departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, promoting a safety‑conscious culture.
  • Participate in troubleshooting efforts for aircraft structural anomalies.
  • Manage inventory of structural repair materials and components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes.
  • Respond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations requiring structural expertise.

Qualifications

  • Certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent aviation maintenance certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aircraft structural maintenance.
  • In‑depth knowledge of aircraft structures, materials, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with different aircraft types and their structural systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of aviation safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work shifts and respond to unscheduled maintenance needs.
  • Must be able to work full‑time on‑site at Kadada, Kaduna, NG.
  • Experience with composite repairs is highly desirable.
