Senior Electrical AIT Engineer

A NewSpace organisation delivering complex GEO spacecraft is looking for a Senior Electrical AIT Engineer to lead high-stakes electrical integration and test activities. This is a hands-on technical role with real ownership of how satellite AIT is executed, improved and scaled. You will act as a senior technical authority within the AIT function, leading complex test campaigns, shaping test strategy and supporting spacecraft from early integration through to acceptance.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading electrical and functional AIT campaigns for GEO telecom or scientific spacecraft
• Defining, executing and improving EGSE architectures and lab operations
• Specifying, accepting and commissioning EGSE with external suppliers
• Implementing CCS configurations, automated test scripts and test data management
• Troubleshooting complex electrical, power and RF issues during integration
• Supporting anomaly investigation, NCR management and root cause analysis
• Leading supplier FAT/SAT activities
• Mentoring junior AIT engineers and operators

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering
• 8+ years’ experience in electrical AIT and EGSE for space missions
• Strong hands-on experience with SCOE and RF test equipment
• Proven background in harness design, power distribution and connector qualification
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, grounding, EMC and high-voltage testing
• Experience specifying and qualifying space-grade cabling, umbilicals and RF hardware
• Confident working under pressure during critical AIT phases
• Clear technical communication skills in English

Nice to have

• RF lab automation (LabVIEW, PXI or similar)
• Experience with FDIR, fault injection and redundancy validation
• Knowledge of ECSS standards, ITU coordination or RF licensing
• Calibration and MCO process ownership
