About the role

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Reporting, provides expert advice and guidance to management and other members of the faculty or service in relation to financial management. Contributes to short-, medium- and long-term decision-making processes by providing support and recommendations for financial analyses and reporting.

What you will bring:

  • University degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum seven years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Professional accounting accreditation an asset
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience in accounting for subsidiaries and consolidations
  • Thorough knowledge of the administrative structure and governance of a large organization, preferably in a university setting
  • Supervisory experience an asset
  • Project management experience
  • Autonomy and discretion
  • Critical and analytical thinking
  • Knowledge and experience using computer systems and software such as Windows, financial systems, spreadsheets, databases, the internet and email
  • Bilingualism – English and French (spoken and written)
