Your exciting responsibilities

• You are the central point of contact (SPOC) for all analytical work packages in development and production projects for the manufacture of APIs and excipients, ensuring their timely, quality, and budget-compliant implementation for our customers.
• You are responsible for and lead all analytical activities, such as method development, validation, and troubleshooting, across all project phases (Early to Late Stage). You will contribute your expertise at the Liestal API site, particularly in the areas of peptides, lipids, and small molecules.
• You plan, coordinate, and prioritize analytical work packages in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• You monitor project progress, report regularly to stakeholders, and initiate appropriate measures for complex analytical issues.
• You assume technical responsibility for the analytical project team, e.g., Analytical Experts and Analytical Scientists, in a matrix organization.
• Responsibility for the analytical contribution within project evaluations.
• Creation, revision, and review of GMP-relevant project documents (plans, reports, methods).
• You create and review SOPs in your area of responsibility and ensure their technical up-to-dateness and regulatory compliance.
• You ensure that analytical SOPs and processes always comply with current regulatory requirements.
• You drive the further development of analytical processes, documentation, and tools and support the establishment of modern methodological and process standards in the Analytics field.
• You coach fellow APLs, support the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, and promote the development of analytical competencies within the team.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in analytical chemistry, pharmacy, or a comparable natural science field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in analytical project leadership across multiple development phases (Early to Late Stage), ideally with customer contact
• Sound knowledge of instrumental analytics (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS) and experience with peptides, lipids, and small molecules are advantageous
• Confident handling of c GMP and regulatory requirements
• Very good communication skills and confidence in dealing with complex analytical issues
• Independent, structured, and customer-oriented way of working, as well as high reliability and team spirit
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
