Role

For our Chiasso (CH) office, we are selecting a:

SENIOR ANALYTICS ENGINEER (AI & Data Platform)

Goal: To create an AI-based analysis layer capable of accurately, autonomously, and reliably answering business questions.

We are developing an advanced, AI-based analysis system integrated into our data platform (BigQuery, Looker, with multiple data sources) for generating business insights on interdepartmental needs. We are therefore looking for a Senior figure capable of designing, implementing, and managing a scalable architecture based on data + AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage our data warehouse (BigQuery) as the exclusive and reliable data source
• Create and manage data transformations using DBT
• Develop and manage the Looker semantic layer (LookML)
• Design and implement AI-based analyses (LLM-based queries and insight generation)
• Implement RAG systems applied in a business context
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance
• Optimize query performance and costs

Requirements

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Computer Science or similar, with a specific focus on AI and Machine Learning
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML
• Solid skills in SQL and data modeling
• Proficiency in data management with BigQuery or similar data warehouses
• Experience with DBT
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (LOOKER preferably)
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Vertex AI, etc.)
• Solid skills in Python
• Proficiency in creating production data systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with event-based analysis systems
• Experience with business models related to subscription marketplaces
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate)
• CERTIFICATIONS related to the required skills

Languages:

• Fluent ITALIAN
• Professional English
