Your Role

Are you interested in the key figures in Operations – how to process, present, and improve all the data from the supply chain into helpful metrics? Our team of ML/BI Specialists does exactly that – and much more.

To support data-driven decision-making for optimizing our Operations Processes (Logistics, After Sales, Customer Service & Retail), we are looking for a motivated and technically adept person for our Analytics Engineering Team in Operations, who wants to help shape the reporting and data strategy in our area.

In this position, you will work closely with business stakeholders and feature teams.

You will work to understand the complex data landscape of the area and transform raw data into usable, meaningful KPIs and insights.

You will also proactively contribute ideas about what data could help make better decisions.

Your Tasks

• You advise the Operations Teams (Logistics, After Sales, Customer Service, Retail), ensure requirements are captured based on the business problem, and jointly develop efficient and sustainable data solutions – be it with analyses or a new report.
• You plan, create, and orchestrate efficient ETL data flows (Python & Dataforms) to create clean data objects with coordinated business logic from raw data, from which analyses and reportings can be generated.
• You build reports with Tableau, SSRS, and Cubes and are responsible for their maintenance and adaptation so that they always serve as a basis for monitoring, further development, and optimization of operations processes.
• You communicate with the Feature Teams (Software Development) and coordinate data requirements and status with them.
• Together with your team, you are responsible for the development of ambitious and innovative ideas & solutions in the BI area to best support business partners in their decisions.

We Expect

• You have a higher technical or data-focused education (ETH/UNI/FH) or sufficient relevant professional experience.
• You have at least 3 years of practical experience with very good SQL and Python skills (Also advantageous: Git and BigQuery).
• Data preparation, analysis, and communication are your strengths – ideally, you have experience with Tableau and Cubes (SSAS, MDX).
• You have experience with sustainable data modeling and complex data pipeline design – when you hear “Kafka,” you don’t just think of Franz, but also of event streaming.
• You have an affinity for processes and KPIs in the Operations area and can walk through a warehouse with a grin when you see how your reporting helps to control it all.
• Good German skills (min. B2) are essential, and good English skills are very helpful.
