Veracity Protocol is a CV/ML-based web3 company bridging the physical with digital. Our mission is to build "the protocol of trust to protect people and their assets in the digital world". We enable smartphone or industrial cameras to identify and authenticate physical objects based on their unique material structure only. This guarantees the highest level of data veracity, solves the critical blockchain oracle problem, and enables the entire Web3 infrastructure for physical objects.

About the Role

Your core responsibility will be pushing mobile technologies to the limits and working with the founders, our mobile dev team and talented CV/ML engineers, and blockchain and web3 experts to design and build the next generation of mobile applications. In this role, you will also:

• Design and build native, structurally sound software for Android OS and platforms.
• Keep up with current UX/UI trends and remain up to date on new functionalities exposed through Android's SDKs.
• Utilize project management software, version control systems, and developing automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

About You

As we highly value ownership, professionalism, and transparent communication, we're looking for people who think alike. Besides that, the following skills are desired for this position:

• Practice - experience in building applications (minimum 10x apps expected)
• Expertise - deep understanding of Android SDK, version control and Android Architecture Components
• Skills - fluent in Kotlin and Java
• Community - passionate about new technologies and the Android ecosystem

Bonus Points

• Crypto/Blockchain space skills
• NFT/DeFi/Web3 services experience
• Android Camera API experience
