Senior Ansible Automation Engineer to drive automation initiatives within a large-scale enterprise IT operations environment. This role focuses on architecting and delivering automation solutions that enhance consistency, strengthen security, and improve operational efficiency across both Windows and Linux server platforms.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Ansible automation along with strong systems administration experience in Windows Server (2019/2022) and enterprise Linux environments. You will support complex, large-scale infrastructures while ensuring adherence to governance, reliability, and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on technical position centered on minimizing manual operational effort through intelligent automation, while maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of production systems.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Event Automation

• Architect and deliver event-driven automation solutions initiated by enterprise monitoring platforms such as Micro Focus Operations Bridge or comparable tools.
• Integrate monitoring solutions with automation frameworks and IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) through RESTful APIs and webhooks.

Windows Server Infrastructure Management

• Deliver senior-level administration and operational support for Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments.
• Oversee the full server lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and retirement.
• Administer and resolve issues related to:
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Core enterprise services such as DNS and DHCP

Linux Systems Administration

• Manage and support enterprise Linux platforms including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or equivalent distributions.
• Perform system installation, configuration, patching, and version upgrades.
• Maintain system services, package repositories, and operating system security hardening.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure or systems administration experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on Ansible automation experience in production environments.
• Advanced administration experience with:
  • Windows Server 2012, 2019 and 2022
  • Enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent)
• Strong scripting experience:
  • PowerShell (Windows automation)
  • Bash or shell scripting (Linux automation)
• Experience automating Windows systems using WinRM and Ansible Windows modules.
• Solid Linux administration skills including package management, services, permissions, and networking.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure services:
  • Active Directory
  • DNS and networking fundamentals
• Experience operating within structured enterprise or ITIL-based environments.
