Senior AP Accountant (Engineering Industry)

Overview

Seeking a Senior AP Accountant to support a fast-paced engineering environment. This role will own the full accounts payable cycle, ensure accuracy of outgoing payments, and assist with reconciliations and project-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable (500+ invoices/month)
• Manage payments through banking and vendor portals
• Maintain AP records in QuickBooks Desktop
• Perform account reconciliations, including foreign currency transactions
• Communicate with domestic and international vendors
• Support project-based accounting and collaborate with procurement and finance teams
• Utilize advanced Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong AP focus
• High-volume AP experience required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and advanced Excel
• Experience with foreign currency transactions
• Construction or project accounting experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
