Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Senior Application Engineer based in Silvassa. The Senior Application Engineer will oversee technical development, provide hands‑on support for software and hardware systems, and engage in testing and troubleshooting processes. The candidate will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the optimal integration of electrical and mechanical engineering solutions within the organization’s applications.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Technical Support and Testing to ensure system and application functionality
- Proven experience in Software Development and proficiency in modern software tools
- Knowledge and expertise in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering for system design and maintenance
- Problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Familiarity with safety standards and quality assurance practices is a plus
Position
Senior Application Engineer
Mandatory Requirements (Must Have)
- Hands‑on PLC Programming experience (Siemens & Allen‑Bradley compulsory)
- Strong HMI experience (Siemens / Proface / Weintek)
- Proven experience in industrial automation, Projects & machine maintenance in manufacturing plant/ System House
- Expertise in troubleshooting PLC, HMI, drives, and communication faults
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
- Ability to read, understand and make electrical drawings and control logic
- Experience in handling plant independently and managing shift activities
- Strong experience in breakdown handling, RCA, and Why‑Why analysis
- Exposure to maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, Machine Availability)
- Minimum 4–8 years relevant experience in automation & maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve PLC & HMI systems to increase uptime and product quality
- Diagnose automation failures and ensure quick resolution
- Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, etc.)
- Manage daily maintenance activities and ensure plant efficiency
- Support new projects, installations, and automation upgrades
- Coordinate with OEMs (Davis Standard, Doteco, Aerodry, Lohiya, etc.)
- Prepare SOPs, manuals, MIS reports, and maintain ISO documentation
Key Skills Required
- PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
- HMI / SCADA Development
- Electrical & Control System Design
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Basic project management capability
- Good communication and coordination skills
Technical Competencies
- Experience in SPM machine programming and industrial automation systems
- Hands‑on exposure to Servo Drives & Motors, AC/DC VFD Drives (Siemens, Parker, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Capability to design automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and system architecture
- Experience in system integration with drives, instrumentation, and machines
- Exposure to dashboard development for maintenance and production monitoring
Additional Requirements (Preferred)
- Exposure to Beta Gauge systems (RSO‑certified candidates will be preferred)
- Candidates from similar technical textile manufacturing industry will be preferred
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, TPM, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma
- Experience in ISO 9001 documentation, audits, SOP preparation, PM check sheets
- Experience in spare parts management and purchase requisition process
