Senior Application & Software Developer

About The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Application & Software Developer to join international IT projects within a European institutional environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications, working closely with architects, analysts, and other developers in a multicultural setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and understand IT design models and technical specifications
• Develop and maintain web, multi-tier, and/or mobile applications
• Implement scalable and high-quality software solutions
• Work with modern development frameworks and programming environments
• Integrate applications using web services and standard technology stacks
• Contribute to system design and technical discussions
• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Adapt quickly to evolving technologies and project requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software/Application Developer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the required programming language(s)
• Strong experience with modern development frameworks
• Experience in developing web and multi-tier applications (mobile is a plus)
• Good knowledge of web services and integration technologies
• At least 1 year of experience with CASE tools or similar modelling/development tools
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
• Strong understanding of software design principles and technical specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working in EU institutions or public sector projects
• Familiarity with complex IT architectures
• Experience in multicultural/international environments
