Senior Application/Software Architect

Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise for the implementation of Warehouse Management and enhancements to Inventory Management and Order Management, including migrations, onboarding and related activities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation related to migrations, onboarding and implementations, including architectural options, technical strategies, work planning and estimations for Warehouse Management and enhancements to Inventory Management and Order Management.
• Support all phases of implementation for Oracle EBS Warehouse Management and Supply Chain enhancements, including migrations and onboarding activities.
• Collect and analyze technical information related to projects and contribute to solution planning and execution.
• Assist in developing resource plans by identifying required skill sets and technical expertise for assigned work packages.
• Provide detailed technical guidance and recommendations for implementing Warehouse Management and Supply Chain enhancements.
• Propose and assess technical environment options and implementation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to technical and functional teams throughout implementation activities.
• Support upgrade activities and assist technical teams in performing system upgrades.
• Apply expert-level knowledge of WebLogic 12c, OEM Grid Control 13.x, Oracle EBS R12.2 and Oracle Database 19c to design and implement WM, IM, OM and MSCA solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning, sizing and capacity planning, and backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN for Oracle EBS environments.
• Create and manage Oracle Service Requests, including providing required diagnostic outputs and resolving patching issues using Oracle Patch (opatch) and Oracle e-Business Application online patching (adop).
• Conduct database import/export and transportable tablespace activities and resolve related issues.
• Evaluate the impact of patches on existing custom objects such as interfaces, triggers and personalization.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to prepare for production deployment and go-live in accordance with established change management processes.
• Establish test environments and support testing activities by responding to technical inquiries.
• Provide implementation expertise across Oracle EBS R12.2 Supply Chain modules, including Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Bill of Materials, Order Management, Inventory and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Software/Application Architect.
• 8+ years of functional experience (within the past 15 years) developing, delivering, and supporting ERP applications as an Application/Software Architect in Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP applications, with each project clearly demonstrating performance of at least 5 of the following tasks:
  • Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies to meet business and application requirements, and provide expert-level experience with WebLogic, OEM Grid Control and Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Ensure end-to-end integration of technology solutions, including database performance tuning, sizing and capacity planning, backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN, and performance tuning for Oracle EBS R12 or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Analyze functional requirements to identify information needs, processes and decision flows, and provide detailed guidance on implementing additional Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud modules, including migrations and onboarding activities.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, document database content, structure and application sub-systems, develop data dictionaries and assist technical teams with upgrade activities.
  • Define and document interfaces between manual and automated processes, external systems and new and existing systems, and support implementation and enhancement phases for additional modules such as Warehouse Management, Inventory Management and Order Management.
  • Define input and output sources, develop detailed technical design plans and obtain approval of system proposals.
  • Identify and document system-specific standards for programming, documentation and testing, including program libraries, data dictionaries and naming conventions.
• 3+ years of technical experience (within the last 15 years) developing, delivering, and supporting Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Application in a decentralized organization with a minimum of 1,000 users.
• Experience working as an Application/Software Architect on at least 3 Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP projects of 6 months or longer (within the past 10 years), involving new module implementation or functional enhancements.
• Completion of a 2-year or longer post-secondary program in computer science, information technology, information management, or a related field.
