Role Description

Als Senior Asset Management Consultant im Bereich Rail & Track fungieren Sie als zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen unseren Kunden, der niederländischen Business Unit Asset Management sowie den neuesten technologischen Entwicklungen im Asset Management für die Eisenbahninfrastruktur. Sie bringen fundierte Expertise und Erfahrung mit, um zukunftssichere und innovative Lösungen zu entwickeln, die die Leistung, Zuverlässigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit von Schienenanlagen verbessern. Darüber hinaus übernehmen Sie Aufgaben über die Disziplin Rail & Track hinaus, die weitere Assets, Verträge und Projekte betreffen.

Role Responsibilities

Project-based: Relationship Management & Consulting

• You independently develop and maintain customer relationships in the rail and railway sector.
• You act as the primary technical contact for clients during operational and strategic consulting discussions.
• You advise on optimizing the management, maintenance, and lifecycle of rail assets.
• You identify key challenges and opportunities in railway infrastructure asset management.
• You contribute to small to medium-sized consulting projects and lead functionally multidisciplinary project teams.
• You assign tasks, conclude work agreements, and monitor project progress and quality.
• You proactively identify changes in project scope and anticipate necessary adjustments.

Business Development & Portfolio Expansion

• You actively contribute to securing follow-on orders and expanding the client portfolio in Germany, Belgium, England, and the Netherlands.
• You support the creation of complex proposals and tender documents.
• You build and maintain a network of clients, partners, and relevant knowledge institutes in the mentioned countries.

Innovation & Knowledge Sharing

• You initiate and develop innovative solutions to improve the performance and reliability of railway infrastructure.
• You promote knowledge sharing within the team and the organization on current developments and best practices.
• You proactively identify trends such as digitalization, predictive maintenance, and data analysis.
• You coach and support junior consultants in their development.

Qualifications & Experience

• You have at least a completed HBO-level (Higher Professional Education) degree or equivalent working and thinking level, ideally supplemented by relevant training or certifications in Asset Management and/or Railway Engineering.
• You possess demonstrable experience with Asset Management issues in the field of rail or railway infrastructure.
• You have strong communication skills and experience in building and maintaining substantial client relationships.
• You are characterized by a proactive mindset and have a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• You are willing to work in an international environment with a dual leadership structure.
• You are proficient in German and English, both written and spoken; Dutch language skills are an advantage, but not strictly required.
