We are looking for a driven professional with three to five years of experience to join our team as a Senior Associate or Project Manager, depending on background. This role offers meaningful responsibility in the post-issuance administration of municipal bonds and public incentive programs. As IRG grows, strong performers may have the opportunity to step into greater responsibility, including potential leadership within the bond administration team.
Job Summary
This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals interested in municipal finance. As a Senior Associate or Project Manager at IRG, you will take a lead role in tracking and managing tax increment revenues, payments in lieu of taxes (PILOTs), and new community authority revenues in accordance with governing documents. You will also support reporting, compliance, and communication with stakeholders. This position offers meaningful responsibility and exposure to municipal finance and public incentive structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Revenues: Track tax increment revenues, PILOTs, and new community authority revenues to ensure compliance with legislative and transaction documents.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare regular financial reports for internal teams, external stakeholders, and auditors related to revenue collections, bond payments, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate Payments: Manage payment schedules to ensure required payments to bondholders, school districts, developers, and other stakeholders are processed accurately and on time.
- Financial Analysis: Lead or support the analysis of revenue flows, fund balances, reserve requirements, and bond repayment schedules.
- Maintain Records and Resolve Issues: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all bond administration activities. Help identify and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior finance and legal professionals to ensure full compliance with governing documents and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvements: Assist in developing and refining internal processes to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
- Team Support: Provide guidance to junior team members as needed. Over time, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibility, including potential leadership of the bond administration team.
- Series 50 Exam: Must pass the Series 50 (Municipal Advisor Representative) exam within 6 months of starting the position. IRG will reimburse the cost of the exam and study materials after successful completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in municipal finance, public sector finance, bond administration, or financial analysis.
- Familiarity with tax increment financing, PILOT agreements, or municipal bonds is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with financial modeling or data analysis is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and interest in taking on increasing responsibility over time.
- Must pass the Series 50 exam within 6 months of starting the position.

- Salary of $90,000 – $110,000 per year, plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
