As part of the Consumer Services Group, the Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access, differentiated value, and unrivaled benefits to Card Members seeking leisure or business travel and lifestyle experiences. TLS plays a critical role in Card customer engagement, loyalty and satisfaction in addition to driving direct travel revenue and cost savings.
The Global Digital Customer Experience (DCX) organization is a strategic focus area for growth within TLS as our cardmembers increasingly transact and self-serve digitally for their travel and lifestyle needs. Digital customer travel engagement and satisfaction have reached all-time highs, and through continued investment and focus, we seek to continue building out our infrastructure to meet growing demand, and to be able to elevate our service offering and the unique value and access we offer our Cardmembers.
Role
We are hiring for 3 different roles, they will include some portion or a combination of these respective product domains to be determined at the time of hiring:
• Pre-Trip: Focused on post-booking experiences including itinerary management, servicing flows, and digital support (e.g., in-app chat). • Dream & Plan: Focused on inspiration and planning experiences, including discovery, wishlists, benefits, and core app foundations. • Book & On Trip: Focused on booking flows and on-trip experiences, including checkout, conversion, and real-time trip interactions.
Responsibilities
• Drive end-to-end execution of mobile product features from ideation and planning through requirements definition and launch, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met • Own and manage the product backlog for mobile experiences • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria to support engineering delivery • Partner closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define, build, and deliver high-quality mobile features • Analyze user behavior, product performance, and user feedback to identify opportunities and continuously optimize post-booking experiences • Proactively identify and remove blockers, driving alignment across teams to ensure timely delivery of product features • Support product strategy development and execution in partnership with senior product managers
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in product management or digital product development • Experience working on consumer-facing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) • Strong understanding of mobile product development, including app release cycles, performance considerations, and UX constraints • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, design and operations teams • Experience working in Agile environments and partnering closely with engineering teams • Ability to own and manage a product backlog, including writing clear user stories and requirements • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify friction points, prioritize work, and make informed decisions to measure and improve product performance • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Keen interest or experience in Travel & Lifestyle Services or related industries • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams • Experience with analytics and product development tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Figma, Mural, Airtable)
