The Business Cards & Payments (BC&P) organization is committed to fueling the courageous entrepreneurial spirit that's at the heart of America's business owners and offers products and services to help them do more business. The Command Center team within the BC&P Operating Office leads the delivery for some of BC&P's highest‑priority initiatives, including launching new products, updating existing products and features, and leading foundational initiatives that enable growth.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive delivery for high‑priority work streams within Business Cards and Payments.
- Maintain and manage project plans, routines, and artifacts to ensure seamless delivery in a dynamic environment.
- Partner with project customers to ensure tactical alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Drive solutions to complex problems across cross‑functional teams by applying sound business judgment to navigate trade‑offs between competing priorities.
- Manage a large set of stakeholders.
- Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
- Communicate status, impediments, and risks/issues across all levels of the program.
- Deliver results and influence business outcomes across all levels of the organization.
- Influence and manage stakeholders/Intent owners ranging from VP+ to associate.
Ideal Candidate
- Executes established project routines with precision, ensuring all artifacts are delivered with high quality and project hygiene is consistently maintained.
- Acts as the project lead for Business Cards & Payments work streams accountable for delivery of mission‑critical scope for large cross‑functional programs.
- Exhibits outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project/program efforts.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of excellent project management, including the ability to thrive in gray space and flawlessly execute in a dynamic, complex environment.
- Possesses excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels across the company.
- Ability to set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 2 years of project management experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working, supporting, or partnering with internal business clients.
- At least 2 years of experience with Google Suite products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience working, supporting, or partnering with internal business clients.
- 1+ year of experience working directly with senior leadership across business functions.
- PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
Compensation
- McLean, VA: $96,500 – $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager
- Richmond, VA: $87,700 – $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager
